Show FIRE CAUSES-$2000 DAMAGE AT GARDEN CITY Special to Tho Tribune. PROVO, Feb. 14. Fire destroyed the greater portion of a 52000 stock of millinery mil-linery goods belonging to Mrs. M. S. Du-I Du-I senberry, doing business ln the Knight i block, on Center street nnd Academy avenue, ave-nue, today. Tho building was also damaged, dam-aged, but to what extent the owners can not say at present. The north wall of the building became so hen ted that It Is feared the brick will crumble, and In that event It will be necessary to rebuild a portion of the wall. Tho four large plate glass windows In tho front were broken by tho heat and water. Tho damage to the building Is covered by Insurance In-surance and Miss Dusenberry carried about $500 Insurance on the stock. Tho fire started In tho basement frotn spnrks falling on some woodwork. There was no one in the store or basement when tho fire broke out. J. B. Keeler ln passing pass-ing tho store saw a flame Issuing from tho floor of the store and Immediately gave the alarm. The fire department responded re-sponded nt once and put out the fire, but not until the damage as above described de-scribed was done. |
