Stanford this evening at 9:lo o clock at the family home. Her husband. Joseph Stanford, formerly commissioner com-missioner of tho poor, died last Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon. The funeral services over the remains of the aged couple will he n.eQ Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ogden tabernacle. Mrs. Stanford was 73 years of age. She was born at Fulklrk. Stcrllngshlro, Scot- land, December 26. IMG. After being baptised bap-tised Into tho faith of the Mormon church. April 2, 1S52. she wns married to Joseph Stanford at St. John's church. Ncwcnstle-on-Tyrtc, May 20. JS59. With her husband hus-band sho came to this country in 1SG1. The union was blessed with eleven children, chil-dren, of which three daughters and onu son survive. Mrs. Stanford was a devout de-vout worker In .the Mormon church. For twelve yearn she held the presidency- of the Young Ladles Mutual Improvement association nnd was for a number of years interested In the primary association associa-tion Shortly before the end came tho news of her husband's death was broken to her. The remains of the couple can bo viewed at the family residence, 23GD Qulncy avenue, from 2 to 0 p. ni., Monday, Mon-day, and from 10 a. m. until 1 p. m. Thursday. |
