Show CHINESE MERCHANT TO RETURN TO NATIVE LAND United States Immigration Commissioner Commission-er Hlsc has received an application from Chin King, better known as R. M. King, a Chinese merchant at C5 East Third South street, asking for permission to return lo his old home In China, and for papers which will permit his return Into this country when he sees fit to como back. Tho application is being considered at the present time. The custom In theso cases Is lo grant tho return papers as soon as tho applicant establishes beyond doubt that he is a merchant. Ho is permitted to remain In tho Celestial kingdom as long as ho pleases, the papers being good for any length of time. In tho case of a laborer hi must return within one year from the date of sailing. The papers will be granted, grant-ed, and Mr. King will leave within a. couple of weeks for his homo land. |
