Boak, head consul j of the Woodmen of the World (Paclllc I Jurisdiction), made public today, calls attention at-tention to tho fact that during the past year the amount collected for the benefit or mortuary fund waa S"6,S16 less than the benofils paid to members. Mr. Rlt-lenhouso Rlt-lenhouso also finds that an insufficient sum of money Is provided for the expenses ex-penses of the order, and that there Is unjust un-just discrimination In the rates charged for insurance, the rate to new members being about twice that which tho original members of the organization are paying. The Insurance commissioner llndii that the order Is entirely solvent, with a total pf S1.I01.D53 on hand, most of which Is In the reserve fund, but he recommends that tho order adopt without delay some method of providing, llrat. an adequate expense fund, second, elimination of unjust, un-just, discrimination, nnd third, adequato rates to protect policy obligations.
