William Foster, a Salt Lako boy now on tho professional stago, is a musician of note, as was abundantly proven In St. Mark's cathedral on Sunday morning, when the choir rendered tho historic "Te Dcuru Laudamus" In an entirely now musicnl dress, written therefor by Mfi Foster. It Is a work of more than ordinary merit and has passod the crucial tost of many of the great eastern choirs. The solos wore rendored by tho Misses Fos-tor, Fos-tor, Osborno and Damon, and a duet by Messrs. Foster ad Scheld. The music had an especial charm for the people of St. Mark's In that Foster was a St. Mark's choir boy in his youth and dovcloped his unquestioned talont while so engaged. It will be repeated next Sunday. |
