Tho most Important subject for discussion will bo the proposition for the conversion conver-sion of the second Hague conference Into a permanent body. Next In Importance Im-portance Is tho report of the commission on a model arbitration treaty, which comlmsslon is under the presidency of Ernest Von Plenor, the former Commerce Minister of Austria. The American delegation dele-gation Is headed by Congressman Richard Bartholdt. Mining Engineers to Meet. A Joint meeting of the American Institute Insti-tute of Mining Engineering and of tho British Iron and Steel institute will bo hold at tho Institution of Civil Engineers July 24-26 Inclusive. Addresses aro to be delivered by ft. A. Hadfield and Robert Rob-ert W. Hunt, respectively presidents of tho British and American Institutes. Tho week following the Loudon conference is to .be devoted to a tour for the American Ameri-can visitors to York and Edinburgh. President Roosevelt has Invited Speaker Gannon, Chairman Sherman o tho Republican Congrosslonal campaign, and Secretary Loudenslagcr and Tronsurer McKlnley of that committee to luncheon at Sagamore Hill on Monday.
