Show TO COMPLETE BOULEVARD. American Pork Olty Council Appropriates Appropri-ates $600 for Purposo, Specinl to Th Tribune. AMERICAN FORK, July 22. At the last meeting of tho City Council an appropriation of $600 was made for the completion of the boulevard or driveway which will commence at the junction of First West and Main streets and continue south on First West to Utah lake, along which it will skirt for two miles, making in all about four miles long. When properly finished fin-ished this will bo one of the prettiest drivewa3's in the Stale. This enterprise was begun at the solicitation of the local Commercial club. Hebor Romnoy and wife of Salt Lake City arrived hero last evening for a three days' stay as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Stout. James Jackson of Bingham canyon came hero during the week to spend tho remnindor of thc summer in an endeavor en-deavor to improve his health. Mr. aud Mrs William Armstrong of Amnion, Ida., arrived here yesterday to spend tho balance of tho summer. Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong wero former residents of this pluco. Raymond, the 12-3'ear-old son of Mrs. Annie Green, was taken to the Latter-day Latter-day Saints hospital at Salt Lako during dur-ing the week suffering with an ad vanced case of appendicitis, Owing to tho extreme seriousness of tho caso the operation was postponed. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dunkley of Salt Lake City aro visiting in American Fork, tho guests of relatives. Miss Ruby Thornton of this place suffered an extremely bad cut on her face yostorday while ongagod in cutting cut-ting kindling wood. The wound required re-quired several stitches. Miss Lizzie Furo of Salt Lake City is making a ton days' stay in this city as the guest of Miss Mary Rassmussen. |
