Show IN FEDERAL COURT. Another Verdict Is Returned Against Utah Con. After being out a little more than two hours, tho Jury In the case of J. F. Turner vs. tho Utah Con. Mining company, com-pany, yesterday returned a verdict In favor of plaintiff In the sum of $1650. Turner sued tho company for 8SO00 for damage done his land and crops by the smoke from their smelter. Hearing In the case of W. I,. Turner vs the same company, and In which suit Is brought on the same grounds, was begun as soon as tho Jury returned the verdict In the other case. W. L. Turner Is suing the I'tah Con Mining company for $h"50.W. Two petitions In bankruptcy were filed yesterday In the Federal court, those of j. H. Anderson, a carpenter of Ogden. and John H. McTate, a saloonkeeper of Kureka. The former has liabilities of $293. y. with assets amounting to $1. of which $M.'.o is claimed to be excepted, while McTate's liabilities are $1929.88, with assets amounting to $0.ri, which amount Is claimed to be excepted. In tho damage suit of Nils K. Brickson vs. the Utah Con. Mining company. Judgment Judg-ment in tho sum Of $12."" was yesterday entered on stipulations llled by attorneys for both parties In the Federal court. Krlckson brought suit against defendant company In the sum of $10,000 for personal per-sonal Injuries. |
