ATLANTIC DOING WELL. American Yacht Is Sighted by Three Steamers NEW YORK, May li.-The American yacht Atlantic, one of the contestants In the trans-Atlantic race for the Emperor William cup. was sighted late Saturday night tulles due east of Sandy Hook. She was heading '-aet with fair weather and fresh south Winds and was making a little heller than seven and a half knots pei hour. The Atlantic was -ightc,i bv the steamers steam-ers Cedrlc, Minnotonka and Koordland Marconi, wireless mesages were sent from all these steamers to tin- Ae'Soi-lated Press. To have reached tho polnr at which sin was sighted the Atlantic must have averaged more than 200 miles per day, or more than eiRiit knots an hour.
