The accident took place at a point where the elevated tracks are raised very high, to cross the tracks of the New York New Haven & Hartford railroad rail-road Two trains were waiting on thc elevated track for a draw to be closed In the bridge over the Harlem river, when a third train crashed Into the tear of the second of the walling trains.
