Show j HAS NEW SOLUTION. Thomas Introduces a- Resolution for Grading TJp Salaries of Principals. Mathonlhah Thomas Introduced a resolution reso-lution at the spoclal meeting of tho Board of Education regarding the raise In principals' prin-cipals' salaries. The resolution Is as follows: fol-lows: "That tho salaries of high school principals prin-cipals shall be determined on Individual merit, but the minimum salary paid a high school principal shall not bo less than the maximum salary paid a grammar gram-mar school principal. A high school principal prin-cipal shall, however, bo the holdor of a State high school diploma, or Its equivalent. equiva-lent. "Each principal of a grado school shall receive a salary of $S0, with $1.25 additional addition-al for each teacher under his direct supervision: super-vision: that $5 shall be added to the monthly salary of any grade principal or teacher In tho public school when he becomes be-comes tho holder of a Btato hlnh school diploma; provided, however, that no grado principal shall recolve moro than 51K0 per annum, unless he shall have had under his direct supervision a corps of sixteen teachora or moro for a period of two years." As tho matter of salaries had been referred re-ferred to tho committeo of the whole and the committee's report had not been received, re-ceived, Mr. Thomas's resolution was also referred. Tho treasurer of tho board reported an overdraft of J102.1CO.70. A fow changes were made In tho Jlst of polling places for the school election and I tho board adjourned. |
