Show Indiana Scientist Produces Life With Chemicals He Astonishes Witnesses Wit-nesses With Spontaneous Generation Gen-eration of Insects. 1 ANDERSON, Ind.., July 2. The spontaneous generation of animal life, in the form of Insects, from chemical compounds, was accomplished accom-plished and demonstrated here by Dr. Charles W. Llttlelleld, a local scientist. Professional men witnessed the demonstration, demon-stration, whicTf was ' repeated for the benefit of skeptics. The scientist declined de-clined to make public v an analysis of his solution, but stated that one of his compounds was as near to protoplnsm as possible, while the other consisted of common salt, aqua ammonia and alcohol, alco-hol, the union of compounds arresting and controlling the vibrations of luminous lu-minous ether and producing animal life. A few drops of milk-white fluid were placed In an airtight case and with the aid of a microscope of 250 diameters there were visible Innumerable minute black objects, apparently boiling In the liquid, then rising and flying or running wildly about the case. During one experiment ex-periment the apparatus suddenly became be-came aflame, destroying one case of the chemically made Insects. Dr. Llttlefield will undertake to nour--4sh the strange Insects into higher culture cul-ture to ascertain what they will propagate. propa-gate. About ono year ago Llttlefield developed de-veloped atoms of life germs from crystals crys-tals of salt subjected to distilled water, wa-ter, aqua ammonia and alcohol, and since that time has experimented to produce a higher form of life from chemical solutions. |
