Show This Mao Lives Without Sleep Is Hearty, Has Tried Many Hypnotics, Hypnot-ics, and Expects to Remain Awake Rest of His Life. TRENTON, N. J., July 2. Albert E. Hochln, tho sleepless wonder of Trenton, Is still awake, and according ac-cording to his own statement, expects ex-pects tofitay awake the rest of his life. Dr. C. H. Waters of Trenton says Hochln has taken enough drugs In the hope of bringing on sleep to kill an ordinary man many times. He says there Is not another case like this. Hochln Ho-chln is never 111, never drowsy, eats heartily and weishs 180 pounds. Physicians have doubted that he has not slept for ten years, and tests have been made to see If he remained awake. One of these was made recently In Philadelphia at tho office of Dr. J. D. V. Pollock, who gives the following account ac-count of It: "When Hochln first came to mo for treatment I did not believe his story. To satisfy myself I proposed a week's test. One doctor watched him by day and I watched him by night. Nothing resulted from this test. He never slept. His pulse kept normal. He lost nothing noth-ing In weight and was very nervous. I wanted to give his case to the public at that time, but he would not consent. con-sent. He has withdrawn his objections now, consequently this statement." |
