Show KIMBERLY-RYAN INTERESTS, BEAR GULCH, MONTANA The affairs of the KImberly-Montana company, operating In Bear gulch, Park ccunty, Mont., are in bad shape, says a special correspondent of the Mining World, Chicago. Until now there havo been two factions the Chicago stockholders stock-holders and the Canadian. For several months J. Mackln of Chicago ha3 held options on the stock of the Chicago parties par-ties and It la reported that ho has taken up the bonds. Being an associate of Henry M. Ryan, together with the fact that the block of stock is a large one, this transaction gives the control of tho prqperty to the Ryan side. Matters have been coming to a crisis In these properties for some time. The mines are now closed down pending an investigation investiga-tion by Mr. Ryan, who is of the opinion opin-ion that there is something wrong with the mill, as the assay values of the ore, which has been running through the mill for the past several weeks. Is higher high-er than that of the ore run through during dur-ing tho months when the company was making good money. In spite of this fact It is claimed that the company ha not been making any money lately. It is thought by Borne that the plates have been greased to make the gold slip off with the refuse into the creeks. A number of claims against the company are being paid off. There is a movement on foot now by which the owners of the Crevasse property, not far from the KJmberly properties, hope to secure the management of the latter. The Crevasse Cre-vasse contains a large quantity of ore but has no mill to treat It. The Klm-berly Klm-berly people have the mill and not a very large ore body to draw from. It Is thought that these two properties will eventually be combined. |
