Show NEW FURNACES AT MURRAY PLANT Reservations having been made for two additional furnaces when the original orig-inal battery of eight was being Installed by the American Smelting & Refining company at Its Murray plant, the enlargements en-largements have been greatly simplified and the new blasts will be completely before tho season Is much further advanced ad-vanced without dlfilculty. Meanwhile the plant with Its present equipment Is making a record that sets the pace, perhaps per-haps for any in the system. President E. L. White of the Bingham smelter, who wa3 tho guest of Manager Whlteley of the American during the day, confessed his astonishment last night at the ease with which the great volume of ore arriving dally at Its bins Is reduced, and tho fine quality of bullion bul-lion that Is dally added to the world of wealth. To accomplish this, however, a vast amount of money has been expended ex-pended on equipment for every device that can possibly add to Its economic features has been employed. With his observations President White was very much pleased. |
