A large delegation came down from the railroad town, and with them was a bevy of pretty maidens prepared to wrest from tho Salt Lake "team" tho honors of drill. So confident were they that when the judges announced a tie, giving both teams 86 per cent, they were disappointed and knew that a mistake had been made. The drill work of the Salt Lake team was nearly faultless. fault-less. Some features of execution, however, how-ever, prevented the award to Salt Lake. The occasion was one of much enjoyment, en-joyment, the dancing which followed, together with an elaborate spread, being be-ing enjoyed to the fullest extent. Several announcements were given, one of which was that the "tie" of tho teams would be settled for good at Salt-air Salt-air on July 7, to which all eagerly assented. as-sented. A number of those present are planning plan-ning on going to American Fork tonight to-night to the dance there, and an effort was inado to get the team to go down and give an exhibition drill nt Apollo hall during the evening's dancing. At 12:30 the party broke up, Ogden's contingent con-tingent returning by special train. |
