Show OPERATIONS I TINTIC The Miners Review of the Weeks Doings in the Camp The whim for the Buda mine at Diamond Dia-mond arrived Wednesday and the boys commenced to throw dirt have again e Hudson Smith came out with the excursion ex-cursion last Sunday to look after the work on the Brooklyn mine which is reported to be looking extremely well has The Fairview Mining company made final entry of their property in the land office and we are advised that work in active development will be actve commenced in a very short time Jesse Knight is preparing a shipment of six carloads of ore which will go out in a day or two The shipment will consist of four carloads from the Uncle Sam and two froirithe Humbug Brothers are working a The Straw working 25foot contact on the Lucky Boy at Diamond and as soon as completed another an-other contract will be let The owners propose to continue the development George H Murray commenced this South week on the development of the Wheeler lode which is a large fraction frac-tion joining the Wheeler ground in which a good strike of ore was reported I a short time ago The Ferguson Brothers have commenced com-menced work on the Gray Eagle west of Eureka and state that they are go steadily on with the development ing to keep steadiy kep velopment The shaft is down over 50 feet and some very favorable looking rock is coming out C E Hudson and Paul Roderhouse came out from Salt Lake Tuesday and cme are preparing to commence forking on the Silver Cloud They will timber Siver the 192foot shaft and immediately commence drifting to the vein which shows most favorable surface indications indica-tions The new air compressor for the i SiouxAjax tunnel has arrived and will be put in position at once at the Sioux mill With the increased power furnished fur-nished by the new compressor the will be much progress of the big tunnel il more rapid than it has been under former for-mer conditions I conditons Indications in the great BullionBeck Indicatons tunnel are reported to he growing more I favorable daily The territory crossed by this tunnel site is among the most promising mineral sections of the district dis-trict and there is scarcely a doubt but that the proposition will pan out asa as-a big payer The night shift at the Gemini was laid off last evening No shipments have been made from the mine this year and until they commence the force can no longer be employed to advantage I advan-tage The day shift will be working as usual but no ore will be extracted until shipments commence when the night shift will probably be mt on again Captain George T Bridges went down to Payson Tuesday morning to inspect some mining property in the Eldorado district near Payson where the new strike is reported returning Wednes strke day evening Captain Bridges who is one of our best known prospectors gives a most favorable report of the new district He also advises us that I he got in on the ground floor with some promising locations Recorder L T Jacobs of North Tin I I I tic is down in the Eldorado Mining district near Payson engaged in the I development of some promising property prop-erty which he owns there During his i absence Fred Nelson has been appointed I appoint-ed deputy recorder of North Tintic mining district and all persons des ring I r-ing to consult the records of that District Dis-trict can do so at the Tintic Miner office I of-fice in Eureka The Murray Hill survey was completed com-pleted by Surveyor Fechheimer last Friday and we are advised that the amount of ground positively owned by I the company is between 20 and L3 acres with a possibility of showing ovner50iip to a considerable larger amount The commencement of work I I on the ground has been necessarily delayed de-layed but it is announced that It will definitely commence the first of next week Another big gold excitement is reported re-ported this week this time at Hop Creek about eight miles south of Silver City Some fabulous gold assays were reported from that section Monday and a rush of prospectors took place and a considerable amount of ground was staken While we do not credit the wild reports circulated It is undoubtedly un-doubtedly a fact that mineral exists there and probably in paying quanti I ff ties Several reliable assays have been secured running In the neighborhood of 20 to the ton in gold and a number num-ber of the new locators are preparing to commence work in earnest on their i i claims |
