Show The Tax List Again The Standard is out and after John Seaman charging among other things that he as county commissioner wilfully fully beat that paper out of printing the tax list To an outsider the facts j I appear about thus The Standard put in a bid for the work at 25 cents per j II j I > description The other two papers with singular unanimity refrained from bidding I I bid-ding The commissioner rejected the j 25cent bid and arranged for the print I ing of the tax list at S cents per description I de-scription by one of the papers that had I made no bid Last year the Standards I bid for the list was 5 cents per description descrip-tion This year the Standards bid was II about 20 cents higher But the tax list is now out and was published for some I hundreds of dollars less than the Standards Stand-ards original bid and i is no ones business except possibly that of a few thousand taxpayers how the saving was made I Mr Seaman has misappropriated county funds as the Standard seems to intimate then that fact should be I shown up |
