THE StLJBPSaX ASSESSMENT A Bingham Property That Should Be oai the Producing Lit Even a comparatively newcomer in Utah can remember the time when the Sampson mine at Bingham was on the shipping list and there was a time in the history of this mine when it was considered as one of the comin bonanzas bo-nanzas of West Mountain mining district dis-trict and its future as a regular dividend divi-dend payer seemed assured The fall in silver and lead quotations a few years ag however had the effect of closing down this promising property and no effort has been made to resume re-sume operations in the development of the mine until a short time ago when the company levied an assessment of 1 cent a share on the capital stock of the incorporation and the delinquent sale on account of this assessment will be held in this city on the 19th of the present month at the companys office in tae Alias DICCK The Sa son mine is on the same I vein a the Dalton Lark mines in i Bingham and it is connected vith this J property on the 600foot level and it is stated that a person can walk underground under-ground through the Sampson the Dalton Dal-ton Lark and the Yosemite No2 On account of these connections and the fine showing in the former property prop-erty there is no reason why the Sampson Samp-son should not once again come to tKe front as1 a heavy producer especially as it is stated on the q t that a deal is on looking to the consolidation of the Sampson and the Yosemite No2 mines which consolidation would make a proposition that would be hard to beat and insure advantages that would result in the thorough and systematic I development of both properties and it I can safely be set down that with this consolidation ic would not be long before be-fore the combined property would be on a dividendpaying basis and for this reason there is every reason to believe be-lieve that the delinquent stock of the Sampson would be a good buy and a safe investment considering the present pres-ent outlook for an advance in the metal market I is expected that there will be an active demand for this stock on the day that i is sold as delinquent as out ° a number of dealers have been quietly investigating into the merits i ofthe property
