Show i The Air Brake Salt I WASHINGTON Oct 22Just before I the supreme court of the United States adjourned this afternoon the chamber took on the appearance of a carhop f with that part of I where air brakes are put on in full operation This was due to the exhibits made by counsel in the case of the Westingrhouse air brake company com-pany et al vs the Boyden company The litigation arose over the manufacture of an air brake for freight trains by the Boyden company which the Westing house company claimed was Infringement of their patent The court of appeals for I the Fourth circuit decided against the Westinghouse company holding that there was no infringement of two claims of their patent and that said claim was I fatally defective The judgment was in conflict with the decision of the Second circuit court of appeals which sustained I the validity of the patent The supreme court at its last term ordered the case brought before i for review and advanced ad-vanced It on the docket for an early I hearing this term Mr George H Christy counsel for the Westinghouse company began the argument but had r not concluded when the court adjourned I I ad-journed 1 |
