Show SHEARING IN SUMMIT Grower Are Holding on to Their Wools For Advances Throughout the county of Summit shearing Is now in full swing this being be-ing especially the case In the vicinity of Coalville and Park City W L Pickard returned last evening from the latter place below which about 12000 head of sheep are being relieved of their fleeces the estimated product in wool being 75000 pounds The owners are not yet ready to sell their clips but will hold for advances on the present quotations The staple is I long this year in the northeastern part of the territory and there will be a noticeable decrease in the shrinkage shrink-age The storms of Saturday and Sunday caused some delays but the removal of the fleeces is again going on onSome sales of wool are still being made in the neighborhood of Caldwell Idaho three clips aggregating 184000 pounds having changed hands on Saturday the shipments being made to Boston and New York The average aver-age values received for the clips was 8 cents Buyers are now very wrothy regardIng regard-ing the continued encouraging advices ad-vices being sent out from the chief markets of the country and claim that the quotations given are not justified jus-tified by conditions These reports have had the effect of causing growers to hold on to their clips until they receive offers in keeping with the prices which have been paid in Southern South-ern Idaho The competition for wools is still very fierce and the old flock of buyers is still on the trail hot and swift |
