| Show R1SIIING OUT ON THE RANGES Slieepmcn Arc Preparing For an Early Sheaving This continued warm weather is having hav-ing a yery exhileratlng effect upon the sheepmen of the territory and they are preparing for a rush to the various ranges where their flocks are just tin ishing out the winter seas n preparatory prepara-tory to moving In to the shearing sections sec-tions always as close as possible to one or the other of the llne of railroads rail-roads Several of the gentlemen left for the west yesterday morning and others are to follow within the next day or two Out east along the line of the Rio Grande Western all of the necessary preparations for the Inauguration Inaug-uration of the active season are being tr made and unless there should be an unfavorable change In the weather shearing is to commence in the neighborhood neigh-borhood of Thompsons Pleasant Valley Val-ley and the other desert stations on or about the 20th of the present month This Is considerable earlier than operations c6mmenced last spring but then the discovery was made that the start was too late and in order to get through with the removal re-moval of the fleeces In good season Its It-s necessary to make an earlier start There is every indication that the clip vlll be considerably heavier than was the case during the past year Both of the railroad companies are making extensive preparations for the accommodation of the woolgrowers during the shearingseason at the several sev-eral stations along their lines which extend out Into the ranging country The Rio Grande Western will provide gbod corrals and sheds along Its line across the desert and a force of workmen work-men is now making aH of the necessary nec-essary preparations for the reception of the flocks while along its Utah Nevada branch in the Tooele country the Union Pacific is putting up some extensive shearing pens and sheds and will be prepared to take care oC all of the flocks in that section In the western west-ern part of the territory the shearing season does not open for some time later than it does on the eastern ranges but even there all of the owners own-ers are now making up their supply of orders and getting ready for the campaign SUnless S-Unless there should be some entirely unlooked for changes the loss of sheep n this territory during the winter and early spring season will be comparatively compara-tively nothing and in conseQuence the growers are feeling very much encouraged en-couraged |
