LYriS CALLS FOR WARRANTS Couny TretiHxiver Now Has Panda on Tap For the first time since before the first of the year County Treasurer Lynn Is again paying registered county warrants and he is now prepared pre-pared to retire all outstanding paper up I to No 7000 which is an advance of i 1000 numbers clean and means the payment of something over 16000 The I announcement of the advance Just made created considerable of a Hurry among the holders of the countys paper and the prospective retirement of the warrants gave not a little pleasure to those who are directly interested in-terested This action on the part of the treasurer treas-urer was made possible by the retirement retire-ment of the county court from its position taken some weeks ago that I the treasurer must create a special fund for the payment of such maintenance I main-tenance warrants as that body might see fit to order drawn As a result of I the recent decision of the supreme court of the territory the court de cEded that It would take Its hands off and in consequence the treasurer is again paying registered warrants and will continue to do so as long as the revenues in his possession hold out As yet the jumping off place has not been fixed but it is not anticipated that any decision ot the court will be so construed as to invalidate the warrants war-rants drawn In the payment of debts contracted prior to that date when the I limit of the countys indebtedness was reached
