Douglas This Evening1 Up to date the university authorities have not turned over to the state board of land commissioners the proceeds derived from the sale of lands nor the lands remaining in the university grant amounting in all to about 15000 stores The board would like to have the transfer made as soon as possible and the several members individually and collectively are beginning to look anxious There is said to be a reason why the transfer of the cash which aggregates aggre-gates some 70000 is not made It appears ap-pears that appropriations made by the legislature have oeen paid in warrants war-rants instead of coin of the realm and that hoping that matters would change and the territorial paper go to par the university authorities have used the cash derived from the sale of lands and transferred the warrants to the cash account Warrants are somewhat some-what below par and it will require a cash payment on the part of someone to make up the difference However there is little probability that any disturbance dis-turbance will result over the matter as everyone agrees that the university folks have done what was right In this connection and that within a very short time the entire business will be adjusted to the satisfaction of all con Cf > med A LARGE PAYMENT One of the largest payments of insurance in-surance taxes was made to the secretary sec-retary of
