witnessed in many seasons It took place at St Marks cathedral and long before the time set for the ceremony the church was filled with a fashionable fashion-able assemblage over 800 invitations having been Issued The church was very artistically decorated dec-orated The altar was adorned with white carnations roses and lilies and was lighted with wax tapers while the r wall back of it was draped with sprays of asparagus plumosa The roodscreen was completely hidden beneath a wealth of green while overhead hung festoons of smilax which were din d-in the center to a huge wedding bell of ferns the front and extending down the skirt was a garniture garni-ture of old lace an heirloomthat has been worn by all the brides in the Marix family for generations The bridal veil was of tulle and was fastened + fast-ened in the hair with a point lace butterfly but-terfly She carried a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley and maiden hair fern The bridesmaids wore gowns of rainbow rain-bow tints
