Show HARD WOR fOR COL BRYAN MADE SEVENTEEN SPiSECHES I NEBRASKA YESTERDAY Campaigning Is Beginning to Tell Upon the Sturdy Silver Orator and He Is Laid Out Omaha Neb Oct 28W J Bryan started on his flying trip through the state today from Wymofe Yymole making sev enteen speeches during the day beginning begin-ning at Superior at 830 a m and closing at 645 this evening at Benkel man within twenty miles of the Colorado Colo-rado line He plainly shows the effect of the hard campaigning and others have been added to the party to do some of the talking General Superintendent Calvert of the Burlington road placed his special carat I car-at the disposal of the party which comprised ilr Smith passenger agent J of the Burlington Governor Poynter State Treasurer Meserve Colonel Vlf qualn Frank P Morgan and representatives represent-atives of the press The party was joined by Judge Holcombe and Congressman Con-gressman Sutherland I The speeches were largely confined to I national issues imperialism and money being the principal topics Mr Bryan was pretty well tired out I by the labors of the day but expressed confidence in his ability to finish the campaign though it is evident that the I exertion on top of his recent illness is a severe strain upon him |
