Show ffW LIVE STUCK SHPMt TS DULL WEEK REPORTED BY DUL W REORTD STOCKYARDS Western Shippers notified That All Sheep Must Be Inspected at the River I Stock shipment showed a marked I failing off the past week the business being at a standstill in the local offices of the railways and the Uniqn stockyards I stock-yards A J Knollin had twentytwo I cars of sheep from the Sanpete valley to Kansas City via the Denver Rio Grandeand Santa Fe N S Nielsen had eleven cars from Sanpete points to Kansas City via the Denver Rio Grande and Missouri Pacific Yesterday morning the Oregon Short Lino received notice from the department depart-ment of agriculture that in the future all sheep sent from the west to the Chicago Chi-cago market or to any point east of the Missouri river must be stopped at South Omaha St Joe or Kansas City stockyards for inspection before proceeding pro-ceeding farther I the sheep are found to be afflicted with any contagious disease dis-ease they will be held by the government I govern-ment inspector and dipped Affidavits must be given by all shippers that their sheep are absolutely free from any infectious in-fectious disease otherwise the railroads are forbidden by law to allow the sheep to be loaded |
