Show INDIANS SCORE ON HARVARD Little Hudson Kicks Goal From the Field Cambridge Mass Oct 2S While Harvard had no difficulty in disposing of the famous Carlisle Indian eleven this afternoon on Soldiers field tho crimson players were unable to keep little Hudson from kicking his customary custo-mary goal from the field and a wretched muff by GIrasch early In the game followed by a quick pjck up by Red Water who ran fifty yards for a touchdown gave the Visitors five more points making the final score 22 to 10 There was bad fumbling by the Harvard Har-vard backs at times and during the latter lat-ter part of the game the Indians discovering dis-covering a weak spot in the crimson line hammered there for steady gains until the thirtyyard line was reached After two downs without result Hudson drove the ball between the goal posts The little Indian quarterback however how-ever did not have all the kioking honors hon-ors to himself for Burnett made a fine goal from a place kick on the Indians fiftyyard line and Hallowells punting punt-ing was almost as good as Haughtons last year The entire Harvard eleven payed with a snap and dash that carried the 12000 people almost off their feet with enthusiasm Scarcely a Harvard man was injured during the entire game On the other hand a number of the Indians In-dians were sadly battered Wheelock was carried from the field and tonight is still in a serious condition His injuries in-juries on the apparently head resulted from a blow I |
