WHAT team Sunol and Maud S would make together I J J OBJEUTd 10 CHICAGO I The President has let it be known by the bosses who control in such matters that he is opposed to Chicago as the place for holding the next Republican national convention con-vention Those nearest to HARRISON say that this objection is due to the fact that Chicago Republicans are entirely too enthusiastic en-thusiastic for BLAINE to please the gentleman gentle-man from Indiana The line of reasoning is that if the convention were held in the windy city the local managers of the hippodrome would so arrange matters that I BLAINE would be nominated with a whiz HARRISON being lost sight of entirely B H may be entirely logical and farsighted in this matter but for goodness sake I wont somebody name a city where the grandfather of his grandson excites any sort of enthusiasm If there were such a city within the confines of the republic one might naturally think it would be Indianapolis Indian-apolis BESJYS home town and for whose Republican citizens he has done so much in tho way of providing them with federal offices during the past thirty months and yet the other day the voters of that city repudiated HARRISON and Republicanism Republican-ism to the extent of several hundred majority ma-jority If the President is going to Insist upon the holding of the convention at someplace some-place where he has tho advantage we np1 I prebend he will have to call it in the White I Hose and exclude the public when the spectators may be counted upon to applaud the mention of the name of B H I
