| Show Members of the Londoner Government In dieted lctel DENVEII Colo Oct 23Special telegram tele-gram to TIE H HALDAt 4 oclock this afternoon the grand jury appeared in Judge Hisings court and roturned a batch of indictments in-dictments against the officials who helped to make up the late Londoner Republic administration t ad-ministration Warrants were immediately S immedi-ately sworn out and as a result at 9 oclock I tonight George A Raymond formerly deputy city auditor James P Hadley I formerly deputy treasurer Sidney Roberts Rob-erts formerly chief health inspector and William Bliss treasurer before Londoners time appeared in court to offer bail for their appearance Hadley and Raymond were charged with ordering material from certain firms passing on the bills and paying pay-ing them and then dividing with the firmS firm-S the proceeds and receiving from 1 per cent to one half the entire en-tire nmount of toe goods offered Tney are also charged with allowing charged alowing dupli S cate bills and pocketing the proceeds and with raising bills against the city The charges against Bliss are about the same I as against tne others The deputy sheriff scoured the town tonight to-night unsuccessfully for indicted men 5 No information can be gleaned from the I officers but it is thought at least four more indictments were returned and that the charges against all are forgery and embezzlement em-bezzlement |
