Archbishop Walsh fiopndlates an Interview DUBLIN Oct 23Archbishop Walsh repudiates re-pudiates the interview which it was said he gave shortly after tho death pf Parnell and in which he was quoted as referring to the dead leader in terms disparaging They aroused indignant comments in many quarters quar-ters where sympathy for the dead man was not expro sed Archbishop Walsh also denounces the attack which was made upon him by the Herald of October 9 classing the statements made as sensational sensa-tional calumny He adds They attribute attrib-ute to me an atrocious and unchristlanilko sentiment that charity should not find a place at the open grave of Parnell I feel bound in my own defense and in that of the dignity of my office to ascertain whether American law permits the bring lag to justice of the author or publisher of the libeL
