friends were in attendance from this city us also from Provo The contracting parties were Miss Rhoda daughter of W H Groesbeck and Mr Hugh M Dougall jr The ceremony took place in the spacious parlors of the residence of the brides father which were most handsomely decorated with smilax and crysantbemums In the center was hung a large wish boneIn flowers under which the bridal party stood The brides gown was of white faille francaiso en train trimmed in silk passa mentene and point lace Corsage bouquet of white rosebuds with seine in huir Satin slippers to match costumes and topaz to-paz ornaments The bridesmaids were Miss Kittie Dou gal in pale lemon colored crepe do chine ostrich leather trimmings natural flowers Miss Cora Groesbeck India silk ostrich feather trimmings and natural interesting session The Nobles of El Kalah Temple have telegraphed to the various zoological gardens gar-dens of the country for a supply of camels for their contemplated trip across the burning burn-ing sands of the northwest to tho capita city of our sister state of Idaho I they are successful in the dromedary arrangement arrange-ment the trip will be a go i o o F This order commenced with the Social club entertainment on Monday evening which was remarkably well attended and enjoyed by all present The next enter tainmentof the club will be a ball on the evening of Monday December 8th Jordan lodges regular meeting time fell on the same evening as the entertainment by the club and the lodge thereforedid no work but opened and closed so that the members might attend the club entertainment entertain-ment Fidelity met as usual on Friday even ingand l Initiated one candidate into the mysteries mys-teries of the order There was a large attendance at-tendance and the new floor work was first used by toe lodge this being the first time i was brought into use in this territory It worked very well and is liked by all the members There were several visiting brethren present > HERALD the card of the lodge for the term of one year Next Tuesday Tues-day will be held the election of lodge offi cers for the ensuing year A large attendance at-tendance of members i specially requested re-quested Enterprise No 15 met on Wednesday evening Three candidates received the initatory degree the new floor work being used on the occasion Enterprise was only one day behind Fidelity in the time of its adoption of the new work Some visiting visit-ing brethren were present and an interesting interest-ing time was reported Enterprise suffered the loss by death of one of its members Brother A St John on Thursday Thurs-day morning The brother was accorded an Odd Fellows funeral the particulars of which havo been already reported in THE HERALD He was much respected by his follow members and will be missed from his place in the lodge Unity Encampment had a regular field night last Tuesday evening Twenty candidates candi-dates were initiated into the organization so it is easy to imagine what an amount of workhad to performed The initiation fee had been cut in two by a special dispensation dispensa-tion which partly accounts for the rush on that particular evening The Encampment is gaining very rapidly and will soon be avery a-very powerful organization Ridgely lodge had a very nice meeting on Wednesday evening and put one candidate through the second degree There was a good attendance The meetings of Ridgely lodge are always very pleasant there is I brotheriy feeling and some indescribable influence which gives the lodge a homelike air which is very fascinating Salt Lake lodge met on Friday evening There was no degree work but routine business and an interesting session generally gener-ally was tad Naomi Rbekah Lodge met last evening and as it was their regular degree night around a-round dozen candidates presented themselves them-selves and were duly initiated into the mysteries of tho order The ladies had lots of hard work and the session was along a-long one The I O O F social club are contemplating contem-plating giving a grand ball in the near future for the benefit of the two Rebekah Lodges Miriam and Naomi The ball will be a grand affair and no effort will be spared to make it one of the chief events of the season The officers of the Grand Lodge will shortly make an official fraternal visit to Olive branch lodge No S at Park City THE SONS OF ST GEORGE This order held its usual meeting on Wednesday evening There was a large attendance and two now members were received re-ceived into the order The remainder of the evening was spent in making up tho programme for the public social to be given next Wednesday evening The new officers which were elected at the meeting on the previous Wednesday will not be installed on the acknowledge ac-knowledge their accountability to God and are pledged to total abstinence from all intoxicating in-toxicating liquors Templars of Honor are also pledged to fraternity to do their brethren breth-ren no injury in fortune or fame It is their bounden duty to aid and protect their brethren relieving their wants sharing their dangers getting them a good name and clearing it of
