A Cold Blooded Murder FLAGSTAFF Ariz Nov 2SSpecial telegram J tele-gram to TICH RALDAlex Styary an Indian trader arrived here tonight and brings intolligeaco of a cold blooded mur bring inteUgele I I der at Red Lake a trading post forty miles north of Luba City in this county Mr Styary says he and Thomas Collins ware seated at a table in Sam Dittenhooffers place playing whist when Collins suddenly atruck the table with his fst almost breaking a lamp Tho cook a woman asked him to be quiet when Coiiins uttered several oaths Dlttenhof fer who was in bed enquired the cauce of the noise and arose and dressed himself Be asked Collins to mako no disturbance in his house whereupon Collins advanced and called him vile names at the same time drawing a 39calibre revolver and shot Dittonhoffer through the heart Collins held his gun and threatened to kill anyone who came near him and after asking i his victim was dead backed out of the door and made his escape on horse back Ditteuhoffer was well known and highly respected by everyone and was a great favorite with the Indians who learned cf the killing and next morning started in pursuit of the murderer If the Navajoes run him down he will be tortured to death Collins has an unsavory reputation in this vicinity and is known as a horse rustler
