Show SCHOOL DISTRICT CONVENTIONS The Call of the Peoples County Central Committee HEtDQUAmxns COUNTY CENTRAL Costi lEE PEOPLES PAKTY f June 27 ISO At a meeting of the County Central com nitteo of the Peoples party held Friday evening June 27 ISO also of the presidents presi-dents and other officers of the City Ward cubs after a full and free discussion of the subject of nominating school trustees it was unanimously decided that a delegate convention should be held for each municipal munici-pal ward on Wednesday July 2 at S oclock for the purpose of nominating two candidates from each municipal ward for school trustees td be votad for on the second sec-ond Monday in July The primary meetings to be held in tho several Bishops wards on Monday even lug June SO at 8 oclock for tie election of delegates to said conventions The number of delegates shall be double the number comprising the last city convention con-vention I was further decided that presidents of ward clubs in each municipal ward shall t to constitute a municipal ward committee to have entire charge of election matters in i their respective wards that they may organize or-ganize by electing a president whose duty it i will be t report the central committee It was also decided that the Scandinav ian i club continue and keep up their present organization organizaton In conformity with the foregoing a delegate dele-gate convention of each of the live municipal i muni-cipal wards of Salt Lake city is hereby called to meet on Wednesday next the 2d day of July ISO at S oclock pm for the purpose of nominating two candidates for school trustees from each municipal ward to be voted for on Monday the Htl day of July ISJO Primary meetings for the election of delegates to said convention will be held in i each of the bishops wards at the usual place of meeting oc Monday Juno 30 at S oclock pm The representation in each convention will bo as lollops The convention in the First municipal ward will be held in the Ninth ward meetinghouse meet-inghouse and will consist of forty delegates dele-gates alloted to the several wards as follows l fol-lows First ward 6 I Second ward G Third ward 0 1 Eighth waru 0 1 Ninth ward H 1I 1I I Tenth ward 10 I Total 10 The Second ward municipal ward convention con-vention will be held in the Seventh ward meetinghouse and will consist fifty delegates I dele-gates allotted as follows Fourth ward G Filth ward 0 Sixth ward 8 Seventh ward 8 Fourteenth ward 8 Filtcenth ward 14 Total 50 The Third municipal ward convention will be held at the Sixteenth ward schoolhouse school-house and will have fiftysix delegates allotted as follows Brighton within city limits 2 Sixteenth ward 16 Seventeenth ward 10 Nineteenth ward 12 Twentytecond ward 1 14 North Point within city limits 2 Total 56 Fourth municipal ward convention will bo held in the Twentieth ward meeting house and will have thirtysix delegates allotted as follows Eighteenth ward 10 Twentieth ward 12 Twentylirst ward 11 Total 30 Fifth municipal ward convention bo held in the Twelfth ward meetinghouse and will have twentyeight delegates al lotted as follows Eleventh ward 12 Twelfth ward 12S Thirteenth ward 8 Total S3 It is expected thatch the school districts in Salt Lake county outside of Salt Lake city will nominate candidates for school trustees and hold the election on the second sec-ond Monday in July in conformity with tno provisions of the new school law Bv order of the county central committee of the Peoples party Jonir R WIKDER Chairman ELIAS A SMITH Secretary |
