Show FOK SEVERAL Sunday mornings THE IEUAITJ readers have missed from these columns the familiar name of FANNIE B WAUD whose interesting letters of travel have been a feature of TUE SUNDAY HEn ALl for several years past Last spring Mrs W AIm was prostrated by la grippe in Peru and we suspect that one of the fevers of the country also assailed her at any rate she was confined to her bed for weary weeks being able only t occasionally occasion-ally write n brief line telling of her condition condi-tion Last week we received the gratify lag news that sho has so recovered that she will at once resume her letters for the press and continue her journey through the southern continent She is at present in Bolivia at La Paz trom which city we hope to have a letter in time for publication in next Sundays issue or perhaps per-haps earlier She writes that while she is yet weak from the effects of the long wrestle with fever she feels equal t the i work in hand and hopes therj will be no 1 other break in her correspondence We mako this explanation because of the general disappointment over tho non ap pcrmco of 1rs WARDS Jetters and also t Inform the ladys many friends in this city of tho cause of her long silence |
