Show r 1 i . . 1 i f DAN T.ROGERS D. Rogers Succumbs At Age 57 Dan Terrance Rogers, 57, of Bountiful, died June 21, 1980 of a heart attack. He was born August 20, 1922, a son of Daniel. Kimball and Viola Petersen Rogers, in Pinedale, Ariz. He married Myrlene But-. ler on August 1, 1941 in the Manti LDS Temple. BISHOP ROGERS was educated edu-cated in the Arizona public schools and graduated from BYU. He received a master's degree in meteorology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a lieutenant colonel after 23 years of service throughout the United' States and other parts of the world. After retirement he accepted a position with the LDS Chruch in Salt Lake City, where at the time of his death he was manager mana-ger of maintenance and scheduling sche-duling of the buildings and grounds on Temple Square. BISHOP ROGERS was very active and faithful in the LDS Church, serving as a counselor in a stake presidency, high councelor, stake executive secretary and bishop of the Wahiawa Hawaii Ward. He was just recently released as bishop of the Bountiful 23rd Ward. He was also a member of the Tabernacle Choir. Survivors include his wife of Bountiful; sons, Dan Gary Rogers, Ro-gers, Payson; David Alan Rogers, Ro-gers, Vernal; daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Janice) Finch, Boun- tiful; sister, Mrs. Fritz (Wanda) (Wan-da) Tabeling, Cottonwood, Ariz.; Mrs. Roy (Anella) Baldwin, Bald-win, Guam; brother, Marcel Rogers, Taylorsville; 17 grandchildren. HIS FUNERAL was held June 14, 1980 in the Bountiful East Stake Center. |
