Other services are provided on a personal basis through friendly visitor and telephone reassurance calls. ACCORDING to Mrs. Davis, some volunteers serve daily while others donate time once a month or even once a year for a big project. At the pork and dressing dinner, Arietta Williams, first vice chairman of the Council on Aging spoke to the group on volunteerism. Commissioner C. E. Moss also participated on the program. In a special presentation, Coy Hayward, chairman of the non-profit corporation which raised money for the Golden Years Center in Bountiful, turned that building build-ing over to the county. Commissioner Com-missioner Zaugg accepted the building in the name of the county. COMMISSIONERS had earlier signed a contract accepting ac-cepting the building, but participated par-ticipated in the formal ceremony which marked the last payment on the $300,000 building. The structure was paid for by county and city funds, in addition to private donations and money contributed con-tributed by the Utah State Bicentennial Committee, rk |
