Show Golden Years Bazaar All senior citizens who would like to reserve a table for the Golden Years bazaar on Saturday, May 6, should come to the center and sign up. Those who would like to sell some of their arts and craft articles at this special event will need a table for display. The fee will be $5, call 295-3479 or come in. THE PUBLIC is invited to come in and browse or to purchase any of the beautiful articles that will be available. Tentative time will be 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Any person who would be interested in volunteering a -few hours each week for the Center, is asked to contact Audrey Class there, 25-3479. Community people who are not senior citizens are welcome wel-come to volunteer their services ser-vices for various programs. IF THE older people are interested in having yard work done this summer, please leave your name at the Golden Years Center for this summer work program. April 13 is the last day the tax consultants will be assisting assist-ing with your tax forms. If you have not filled out your forms or taken advantage of the new Circuit Breaker Tax Refund Program for those over 65, and are entitled to this refund on your property tax, be sure to fill out the form and get it mailed right away. "BIO-FEED Back" will be the topic for discussion on April 13 at 1 p.m. in the Center. This is a health program seminar with a different topic each Thursday during the series. Come in and you may receive some help with this health program, "Coping With Pain." The Spanish class has been discontinued for the summer. ' THE IMPORTANT Governor's Gover-nor's Conference to be held May 9 will be known as the "Heritage Art Festival." Senior citizens will be invited to exhibit not more than two hanc, made articles, made by any of the older folks, either at the centers or at home. This special event will be held in the Salt Palace and the governor will speak and consider problems of the senior citizens. Be sure to plan to hear Governor Matheson and then during the afternoon to hear the Utah Symphony present a free concert at the tabernacle, kj |
