Show James Welton Wright Dies In Texas Friday, February 21 A telegraphic communication received re-ceived here Friday, Feb. 23, by relatives told of the death of James Welton Wright, husband of Mrs. Norma Pickett Wright and nephew of the late G. W. Hail. Mr. Wright died in Hico, Texas on February 22. Born March 8, 1913, in Hico, he was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim D. Wright. He had his schooling in Hico and followed farming and cattle raising, except for two years when he worked in the oil fields. January 17, 1934, he married Miss Norma Pickett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Pickett of this city, in Ft. Worth, Texas. They came to St. George to make their home in 1938 and purchased a farm in Middleton which they were improving. November 26, 1939, Mr. Wright left for a vacation with his parents in Hico, and extended his visit to assist them in the erection of their new farm home. According to information received since his death, he was injured in a fall from a moving car February Febru-ary 21, the accident resulting fatally. He was buried in Hico the evening of February 23. Surviving besides his wife and parents is an only sister, Mamie Louise Wright of Hico. |
