Show D. U. P. CAMP SPRING CREEK MET THURSDAY afternoon in regular session at the home of Mrs. Christie Lee, with Mrs. Eva C. Johnson, first vice-captain, vice-captain, in charge of the meeting. The entertaining rooms were decorated with roses and dahlias and a fire in the grate gave a welcoming wel-coming atmosphere. Songs by Evelyn Allen and Joyce Diamond with guitar accompaniment were enjoyed, and an excellent history of Shadrach Roundy was given by his great-granddaughter, Mrs. La Preal S. Friel. Mrs. Clara Boyer gave a clever prognostication including in-cluding all members of the camp. The lesson subject was "Woman Suffrage," ably rendered by Mrs. Anna W. Johnson, class leader. Two new members were admitted admit-ted to the camp, Henrietta Hales Harmer and Elfie Huntington. At the close of the meeting, tasty tas-ty refreshments were served by the hostesses, Mrs. Eva C. Johnson, John-son, Mrs. Lottie H. Lambson, Mrs. Crystal M. Poulson, Mrs. Lottie K. Black, and Mrs. Lee, to 28 ladies. |
