' - Miss Delia Baxter The engagement and date of marriage o f Miss Delia Baxter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh A. Baxter Bax-ter of this city, to Dr. Albert D. Clark, son of Mrs. Laura Clark and the late Dr. J. C. Clark of Provo, was revealed at a tea given by Mrs. Hugh A. Baxter at her home Sunday afternoon. Two hundred and fifty guests were met at the door by Mrs. Roger Niel sen, sister of the bride, and each was presented with a miniature corsage which contained con-tained a scroll, giving the date of marriage as June 18. Misses Judy Prestwich and Joan Clark, nieces of Dr. Clark, assisted Mrs. Nielsen. Mrs. Baxter, Mrs. Clark and the bride-to-be greeted greet-ed the guests. From a table beautifully decorated with summer roses and carrying out a pink and white color scheme, Mrs. Harry Dixon and Mrs. Edith Prestwich poured. Mrs. Earl McKenzie, Mrs. Eldon Rich ardsoi, , Mrs. LaVar Jensen, Mrs. Hoyt Baxter, Miss Barbara Clark and Miss Bonnie Baxter served. Music was furnished during the afternoon by a string quartet composed of Virginia Miner, Elaine Jessee, Dorothy Clark and Glenna Webb. Miss Baxter was employed as a Classification Analyst in Honolulu, Hawaii, -during the war. The groom-to-be attended the Brigham Young University and graduated from the North Pacific Dental Den-tal College, Oregon. Dr. Clark practiced dentistry in Provo prior to being called to the armed forces. He spent two years in the Pacific Theatre of Operations Opera-tions and since his discharge has resumed his profession profes-sion in Provo. |
