Show Newlyweds Mr., Mrs. Glade Hales Honored At Mapleton Reception The new Mr. and Mrs. C. Glade Hales received numerous friends and relatives at a delightfully well nlannpd reception in the Mapleton ward church on Thursday evening. Music, flowers -and fUckering candles formed the background for those in the receiving re-ceiving line. Meeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. G. Ray Hales and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ludlow, Lud-low, and Mrs. Helen Beck, uncles and aunts of the bride and groom. The bride is the former Farres Diamond, attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Diamond of Mapleton and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Hales of Spanish Fork. They were married on February first in the Salt Lake Temple. The new bride was beautiful in a gown fashioned of white nylon lace over nylon net in charming ballerina length. She wore a crown of tiny seed pearls from which fell a fingertip veil of brides illusion. She carried a bouquet composed of three gorgeous white orchids and pink rose buds trimmed with silver sil-ver and white satin streamers. In the receiving line with the bride and groom, were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Diamond and Mr. and Mrs. Angus Hales. Mrs. Diamond was attractive in black crepe and wore a corsage of pink camelias and rose buds. Mrs. Hales was charming in aqua blue crepe and her corasge was also pink camelias camel-ias and rose buds.' Mrs. Wanda Fullmer, was matron ma-tron of honor and the bridesmaids were Emma Jean Diamond, Jerry Fullmer, Joy Jensen, LaRetta Hales and Carol Cox who were beautifully gowned in pastel for-mals for-mals and carried nose-gays of white and pink carnations. In the line-up were also young J. Allen Hales and Joan Steele. Verl Farnsworth performed the duties of best man. Back-ground music was furnished furnish-ed by Donald Bluth and Jane Harrison. Har-rison. Guests were highly entertained with a fine program with Bishop Welby Warren acting as M.C. Prayer was offered by Earl Ludlow; Lud-low; vocal solo, Bonnie Beardall; piano solo, Nan Hawkins; vocal duet, Mark Gallup and tiny sister Sharon; piano solo, John Hawkins; vocal solo Myrtle Haskel; reading, Iris Dibble; clarinet solo, Donna Gay Mendenhall; tribute to the bride, Ethel Jensen; piano solo, Shirley Thompson; toast to the groom, Victor Frandsen, vocal solo, Colleen Harrison; vocal duet Glen Holey and Freeman Bird; and prayer, Bishop Sidney Hayward. In charge of the gift room were Ruth Anderson, Maud Ludlow, Dorthy Lee and Mary Frandsen. Assisting them were the young Misses: Marilyn and Jane Hales, Evelyn Warren, Pat Anderson and Bonni-a Beck. Supervising the serving were Grace Hayward, Lois Cowan, Donna Don-na Gallup, Alta Cowan, Mary Diamond, Dia-mond, Leah Harrison and Arthur. Gallup. Assisting with the serving were Anna Ludlow, Shirley Thompson, Thomp-son, Dottie Thomas, Ann Huff, Re-non Re-non Pratt, Nancy Hales and Ann Frandsen. Paul Diamond and Kent Fullmer acted as ushers. Helping with the trousou were Beth Jensen, Emma Jean Diamond, Rebecca Fullmer and Barbara Murray. Mur-ray. Donna Gay Mendenhall and Colleen Harrison were in charge' of the guest book. |
