Show LADIES FETED AT KIWANIAN HALLOWE'EN PARTY Kiwanis ladies were special guests at a Hallowe'en party given Thursday night in the Memorial hall with Ray Scovil in charge of arrangements. Clever decorations in keeping with the Hallowe'en motif were carried out and an Italian dinner was served. Attendance prizes were won by Harrison Conover and Mrs. Dallas Holley. Immediately following the party, an executive board meeting was held at which a nominating committee com-mittee was appointed, including G. L o w r y Anderson, Charles Franks and Ed Williams. They were to make arrangements for the ballots to be mailed out this week for the Primary, so that the ballots can be returned in time for the election to be completed by October 28. A committee from Kiwanis was also appointed to work with other committeemen from the various Springville organizations on war fund projects. Appointed to the committee were Clarence Tuttle, A. Y. Wheeler, Milton Harrison, Harvey Dablin. It was announced also at the board meeting that C. G. Salisbury would be toastmaster at the meeting meet-ing on Thursday, October 28, at which time Mark Petersen, general manager of the Dcseret News, Salt Lake City, would be the speaker, discussing the subject, "Keep America American," the project of Kiwanis International. Sterling Price was appointed as toastmaster for the November 11 meeting. |
