Show Celebrates Birthday . . . I - . ' f f - Pv . r I k - e - I v . i :" " 'I Mrs. Annie Erickson, for many years a resident of Springville, celebrated her eightieth birthday last Saturday Sat-urday with a family dinner given at the home of a son, Orlando Erickson, in Murray. Mrs. Erickson has spent the past two years in Salt Lake City, where she has done considerable temple work. Born in Denmark, she came to this country as a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1890. On the vessel coming over she met C. W. Erickson, also a convert to the church, coming to this country from Sweden, to whom she was later married. J After arriving in Utah she lived with an uncle in Spanish Span-ish Fork for a year, and was then married to Mr. Erickson Erick-son in 1891 She made her home in Springville until going to Salt Lake City. She' has always been active in church work, serving as an officer and teacher in various auxiliary organizations x during her earlier life. Her husband died in 1926. Her sons and daughters are: Joseph, Kenneth, and Lee Erickson and Mrs. Clyde Clark of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lillie Hopla and Mrs. Amanda Binks, Maple-ton; Maple-ton; Orlando Erickson, Murray; Mrs. Jennie Kearns, Seattle, Wash. She also has 23 grandchildren. |
