Show Candidates share program with colonel at YFW A delightful program was enjoyed en-joyed October 23 by the Veterans Vet-erans of Foreign Wars, Post 5787 and their ladies auxiliary. A dinner was enjoyed by the group, after which Elizabeth Dalaba, ladies department president pres-ident p r e s ented continuous membership pins to Vera Zo-bell, Zo-bell, Betty Bringhurst, McVoy Tipton, Venice Beals, Marie Mason, Ruth Alleman and Marie Ma-rie Hansen. The department commander, Garth Hales was on hand to speak to the group, after which all the political candidates running run-ning for mayor and city council coun-cil in Springville, spoke, followed follow-ed by a question and answer - period. Colonel Vergene W. Ford, a member of Post 5787, who has just returned from a year's tour of duty in Vietnam, serving serv-ing as squadron commander of the Ranch Hands, Air Force personnel who work with de-foliging, de-foliging, showed slides and talked about defoliation in Vietnam. |
