Show FERRIS SETTLES. The announced closing out under the rules of the exchange of all unfinished trades of -Broker J. S. Ferris, did not take place this morning. Prior to the time set for the sale Ferris made settlement settle-ment with Broker H. B. Cole, to whom he was in default for the non-acceptance of 700 shares of Black Bess stock. This clears Ferris's account and leaves him free to do business again on the floor of the exchange. It is understood that terms of settlement settle-ment were the payment to Cole of $1000 in cash, with costs and attorney's fees in the suit which Cole had begun to recover the amount of his claim, about $1600. |
