She worked in the Primary,. Mutual Improvement Association, and served as Relief Re-lief Society president. "' ' ' ' , , For the past seven 'years she had lived with her daughter in Roosevelt. Surviving are two sons, Thomas M. Gilbert, Arcadia, and John A. Gilbert, Roosevelt, now on a mission to Miami, i Florida; three daughters. Mrs. , Mittie G. Moore Young, Sal; - Lake City; Mrs. Martha G. Shanks, Roosevelt; Mrs. Alta G. Hill, Bountiful; 46 grandchildren; grandchil-dren; 26 great-grandchildren, r one great-great-grandchild. Friends may call at the Ol-pin Ol-pin Mortuary Friday afte-noon and evening and at the home of Mrs. Shanks from 10 a. m. Saturday Sat-urday until time of services. Burial will be in the Roose- velt cemetery. The family requests that no flowers be sent and that those who would purchase floral offerings of-ferings make a contribution to a fund that will establish an "In Memorium" plot in the Roosevelt Community Rose Garden. Good-rich. Following is an account of the service: vocal duet, Thelma Cook and Agnes Larsen, accompanied accom-panied by Lucille Winkler; invocation, in-vocation, Leslie B. Goodrich; duet, Martha Thorsen and Zel-la Zel-la Goodrich, accompanied by Agnes Larsen; speakers, Ronald Lisonbee and Dale Allred; duet, Joan Goodrich and Garda See-ley, See-ley, accompanied by Hazel Goodrich; speakers, Bernard Winkler and E. L. Murphy; duet, Udell and Pauline Winkler, Wink-ler, accompanied by Lucills Winkler; benediction, Wm. O. Larsen; dedication of the grave, John Thorsen. Pallbearers were brothers and brothers-in-law of the deceased. Burial was in the Bluebell cemetery, under the direction of the Dillman Funeral Home, of Roosevelt. THOMAS J. ELLINGFORD TRIDELL Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p. m. in the Tridell LDS Ward Chapel Chap-el for Thomas J. Ellingford, 78, retired farmer and stockman, who died Sunday morning in Salt Lake City at the home of a son, O. F. Ellingford, following follow-ing a lingering illness. He was born Sept. 26. 1873, in London, England, a son of John and Emily Susan Clark Ellingford. He came to Morgan Utah with his family while still a boy, and at the age of 21 went to Lyman, Wyo., where he homesteaded. He married Amanda Aman-da Mable Hoopes there on Oct. 22, 1901. The marriage was later lat-er solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mr. Ellingford had served in the Sunday School and in elders and high priest groups. Besides his widow, he is survived sur-vived by two sons and three daughters, O. F. Ellingford, Salt Lake City; Thomas Gilbert Ellingford, El-lingford, Whiterocks. Uintah County; Mrs. Earl (Etta) Moos-man, Moos-man, Boise, Ida.; Mrs. James (Mignon) Harvey, Tridell; and Mrs. LeRoy (Zora) Smith, Lehi; 15 grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; one half-brother, D. C. Elmore, Sheboygan, Wis., and one brother, Sam Ellingford, Elling-ford, Del Paso Heights. Calif. Burial will be in the Tridell Cemetery under the direction of the Olpin Mortuary of Roosevelt. JACOB RASMUSSEN LAPOINT (Special) Funeral Fun-eral services for Jacob Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, 78, former Lapoint resident resi-dent and Ward Bishop, were held in Salt Lake City, Friday, March 21. Mr. Rasmussen had been in poor health since last October. Services were under the direction of the 15th Ward Bishopric. Six grandsons were the pallbearers, pall-bearers, and eighteen granddaughters grand-daughters served as flower girls. The grave was dedicated by Melvin Cox, of Fairview. Mr. Rasmussen was born June 6, 1873 at Fairview. Hs married Sarah Rebecca Howell in the Manti Temple. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, on June 20, 1894. He j was active in church work and was a temple worker. He and his family moved to Lapoint in 1916 and resided here until about ten years ago. He engaged in farming and did carpenter work. Besides his widoy, he is survived sur-vived by seven sons and three daughters: D o r a 1 Rasmussen, Bountiful; Merrell and Rulon Rasmussen, Basil, Idaho; Leland Rasmussen, Veyo, Calif.. Dean Rasmussen, San Gabriel, Calif.; Kenneth Rasmussen. Salt Lake City; Mrs. Pearl Norton, Vernal; Mrs. Velma Perry, Lapoint; and Mrs. Veda Fillerup, Salt Lake City; two brothers, Amasa Rasmussen, Ras-mussen, Salt Lake, and Andrew I Rasmussen, Grand Junction, Colo.; 53 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. BEVERLY T. MITCHELL MT. EMMONS Funeral services ser-vices were held Monday at 1 p m. in the Mt. Emmons LDS Ward Chapel for Mrs. Beverly Timothy Mitchell. 25. former resident of Altonah, who died March 21 in an Ogden Hospital following a lingering illness. Bishop Willard B. Meacham conducted the services and burial bur-ial was in the Altonah Cemetery, Ceme-tery, under the direction of the Olpin Mortuary of Roosevelt. She was born March 16, 1927 in Roosevelt, a daughter of H. ber and Novella Allred Timothy. She lived in Altonah until one year "ago', when she moved to j Sunset. . , On July 16, 1948, she married Loal K. Mitchell in Mt. Emmons. Em-mons. He survives her Other survivors are her parents; par-ents; two brothers, Lavear and Richard Timothy, both of Mt Emmons, and one sister, Mrs. Maxine Garrard. Dugway. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mrs. Mitchell was active as a Primary teacher and as secretary of the Relief Society., She was also active as a 4-H leader. |
