Show Received cards this . week from the McLeas and Ashtons, who are vacationing in Hawaii. When they mentioned that the flowers were out of this world, we fully believed what they said. Also said they wished we could move the Uintah Basin to that country. That wouldn't be a bad idea, after the rugged winter we've had. Nevertheless, they are having hav-ing a wonderful trip, as you'll gather from their pictures in this issue. Recent visitors at the Cliff Rockwood home were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Layton and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mecham, of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Oldroyd Old-royd visited in SaltLake one day last week. Provo visitors last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Payne and daughter, Ann. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harrison Harri-son went to Salt Lake Monday. The Geoj-ge Harrisons are here taking care of Bob and Nancy during their absence. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Dicker-son Dicker-son spent several days in Provo and Salt Lake City recently. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ivory and children, Keith. Karma and Kathy, recently spent a week in Fountain Green. Mr. Ivory was working in that area at the time. Mrs. Beth Broden was a Salt Lake City visitor last weekend. Pvt. Lowell Hall left today for California to receive orders for going to Japan for overseas duty. Pvt. Hall, a member of the Engineers Corps, has been home since March 15 visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Heber T. Hall. Prior to his furlough, fur-lough, he was stationed at Fort Ord, California. He has been in service five months. Miss Renee Labrum was home from the BYU last weekend. She was accompanied by a friend, Howard Rushton, also a BYU student. Mrs. George Pulos left last week for Coulee Dam, Wash., where she will visit for a month with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Walker. Salt Lake City and Heber City- visitors March 13, 14 and 15 were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ol-pin. Ol-pin. David Wilson, BYU student, enjoyed the weekend at home with his father, Seth Wilson, and other relatives. Mrs. Clem Labrum and children, chil-dren, Kay and Val; Mrs. Johnnie John-nie Cook and son. Homer; and Mrs. Bill Nelson and daughter, Billie, drove to Bingham last weekend to get Julie Cook and Larry Labrum, who had spent the past two weeks with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Nelson. The trip proved rather long and somewhat tiresome, as ihey all had to stay at Heber City Sunday night due to bad roads. Monday they waited in line with a caravan of cars from 10 a. m. until 3 p. m. to get back to Roosevelt. And all in One car! Mr. and Mrs. Roy Teavy, their daughter, June, and son, Dlarrell. of McRae, Ga., are visiting here with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Adams, and in Bennett with Mr. and Mrs. Otis Hor-rocks. Hor-rocks. Mr. and Mrs. Horrocks' son, Byron, met the Teavys while on a mission in Georgia. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Reynolds Reyn-olds and children returned home Sunday from a 10-day vacation in San Francisco, Calif., with Mrs. Reynolds sister, Mrs. M. F. (Orval) Burrows and Mrs. Donald (Dorothea) Marker, and in Long Beach with Mr. Reynolds Reyn-olds grandfather, Harmon Mul-lins, Mul-lins, and his daughter. LaVaur. Frank Gabriel, who is employed em-ployed by the Sun Oil Co., has returned from Houston, Texas, where he attended funeral services ser-vices for his brother. Joseph Gabriel. His friends extend their sincere sympathy. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Adams took their daughter, Mrs. Sam Snyder, to Salt Lake City, Friday, Fri-day, where she boarded a plane for San Diego, California, to spend an indefinite stay with her husband who is stationed there with the U. S. Coast Guard. Mr. and Mrs. Adams returned re-turned home Sunday. Terry Goulding and Paul Krants. of Salt Lake City, were visitors at the Sam Summarell residence over the weekend. Home from various colleges to' spend the weekend with their parents were Dale Larsen, Arvin Labrum, LaVaur Reynolds,, Reyn-olds,, and Ray Johnston. |
