Show ieeUn-Semett Cat Hunters See 3 Mountain Lions Over the week - end Roy Springer, Kenny Rudd and Henry Hen-ry Tidwell went cat hunting, all the way to the Book Cliffs. They saw no cats, but did see three mountain lions. The dogs made a big fuss, but did not tree the lions. Upon their return home, the hunters were entertained at a supper at the home of Roy Springer. Word has been received from Mrs R T. Bonin, now living with her sister at Joplin, Mo., that her brother-in-law. Chas. Lefflin has passed away. Mr and Mrs. Lefflin have visited here many times. Mr. and Mrs. W- H. Coltharp, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coltharp. went to Salt Lake City Sunday on a combined pleasure and business bus-iness trip. Mrs, Mary Hamaker was at home several days this week. She is employed at the Proving Prov-ing grounds at Tooele. Lorraine Long spent the week end in Tridell with Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Morrill. Mr. and Mrs. Otis Horrocks spent Saturday visiting at the home of Mr. Horrocks parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks. Mrs. Floyd Harmston gave a birthday dinner for Mrs. T. R. Gray Sunday, at the J. A. Houston home. A Primary preparation meeting meet-ing was held at the home of Mrs. P. E Russon, after which Mrs. Russon and Mrs. Bawden served supper to the group. At the Ballard LDS chapel on January 25 at 1:30 p. m. and January 26 at 7 p. m., lectures lec-tures are to be given. The subjects sub-jects deal with family relations. The public is invited. John Gardner, of Alterra, was the speaker at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday. Ray Haslem made a business trip to gait Lake City Thursday. Mr- and Mm, George Jenkins Jen-kins entertained at a birthday dinner in honor of Mrs. Lester Taylor. Guests included Mr. and Mrs, Taylor and daughter. Max-ine, Max-ine, Mrs. Nellie Whitlock, and Bill Knobles. Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Long, Mr. and Mrs. John Gardner en-joyed en-joyed Wednesday in Vernal, combining business and pleasure, pleas-ure, and meeting old friends. |
