Wis , has just been inducted into membership in the Octogenarian club I of Los Angeles. This was done at a picnic of the or ganization, whose members are lim ! ited to twelve. Among the members are nr J. M. Peebles, I sited States ambassador to Turkey during Presl dent Grant's administration; Cornelius ' Cole, formerly United Statt - Benator from California; General John S. Wil 1 cox, Captain L A. Ross, t aptain C. E. Buell and Judge Archibald Mayo. Ages of the members average more than 90 years, so some are also mem bers of the Centenarian club of South ern California oo
